AD LUCEM LAW CORPORATION was established in 2013 by Robert W.E. Laurie, an award-winning international lawyer with qualifications from England and admission to the British Columbia Bar. Robert’s legal practice is centered on various aspects of commercial business, governmental affairs, regulatory matters, as well as charter and constitutional issues related to cannabis and psychedelic plant medicines. With extensive experience in policy development, corporate, commercial, and administrative law, as well as licensing, regulations, and constitutional matters pertaining to medical cannabis and psilocybin access, Robert is dedicated to reforming drug laws in Canada.

In his role as a legal practitioner in Canada, Robert actively works towards the improvement of medical patient access to cannabis, psychedelics, and sacred plant medicines, while also striving to enhance drug laws for the betterment of society. As a consultant, he crafts innovative regulatory strategies, government policies, and business solutions for global companies operating in the regulated food, cannabis, and psychedelic industries.

Robert serves as a board advisor to esteemed organizations such as the Psychedelic Association of Canada and the Last Prisoner Project, and he has previously collaborated with MAPS (Canada). Furthermore, Robert provides advisory support to the Heroic Hearts Project and has contributed to the establishment of the McKenna Academy of Natural Philosophy. He also plays a role as a director for the Ecuador Amazon Restoration Project.

Robert’s commitment to his work is exemplified through his tireless advocacy as a lawyer, working diligently to expand medical treatment options for anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD by facilitating improved access to cannabis, psychedelics, and sacred plant medicines, and advocating for more progressive drug laws.
